Goodbye 2009

So long 2009. Moving on to 2010.

This past year was eventful and lots of 'firsts' for us.

Jonathan started pre-school in August. He is doing very well in the school setting. He has good days and bad days but generally looks forward to going to school. He has learned about the planets and continuously reminds us that Jupiter is a planet and it is the biggest. He also likes to remind us that we live on planet Earth (very helpful).

I went to Rome in November with my mom. It was such a great trip despite my pregnancy and my mom's sciatica problem. It rained most of the time we were there but we didn't let it hinder us in any way. We got to see the Colosseum, Palentine, the Pantheon, Vatican City, St. Peter's Basilica, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, Spanish Steps, and so many other things. I had real Italian pizza, spaghetti, and gelato (all were so good).

Baby Girl Deason is on her way...February 17, 2010 is the due date. Steve and myself are having a very difficult time trying to decide on her name. We may not know until she is born. We are thinking of Julianne, Elisabeth, or Bridget. This list changes every day; it will be different tomorrow.

Jonathan's 4th birthday was fun. We had a party at our house with a bounce-house and pizza. Jonathan had some great friends come and celebrate.
Halloween was fun too. Jonathan dressed up as a firefighter; he really liked pretending to put out fires.

Christmas was great also. Santa listened to Jonathan and gave him exactly what he asked for...a bike. Jonathan loves to wear his helmet and gloves and go ride his new bike.

My birthday came and went quietly (it always does being 2 days after Christmas). Steve ordered this great cake from Susie Meeks as part of my clue as to what my birthday present would be. The cake was designed to look like a ticket. Steve gave me tickets to go and see MUSE in April in Utah. We are really excited to go. I have only been to one other concert before this and don't think anything will be as good as that one. Roger Waters performing Dark Side of the Moon.

So this year comes to a close and a new one begins. We look forward to more new adventures.
