Pain & Suffering in Painting Blues

This past July I had this brilliant idea that I would paint our living room blue. Yes, blue. I recruited a couple of friends (thanks Wendy and Marlana) and painted all day. All this without consulting my husband.

After the room was done and things were put away I looked about me and realized what I had done. I hate blue.

I am not a blue person. I generally gravitate to earth tones: browns, reds, yellows. Not blue.
Anyway, my husband pretty much told me that I had to live with it for awhile and I agreed.

Finally, this past month Steve agreed to let me paint again. This time I went a little more neutral.

16 hours later this is the result and I couldn't be happier. I like the extra interest the stripes add and totally love the colors we chose.

We will not paint for quite some time (hopefully).

5 Little Monkies

This is seriously cute. This video was taken on 10/31/2008 on our way home.

Happy Halloween & Happy Birthday

This Halloween was both exciting and exhausting. As previously reported we had spent 3 days down at Disneyland. On Halloween we drove back home just in time to: get a birthday cake, get home and cleaned up and dressed, go trick-or-treating around the neighborhood. Trick-or-treating was cool. Jonathan was able to say "trick-or-treat" in this really cute little voice that had all the homeowners asking him to say it again and again. Poor guy. We were able to get around the neighborhood one time before Jonathan began to beg to be carried...we called it good.

After trick-or-treating we went home to have cake and ice cream and open presents. Happy Birthday Jonathan. You're 3!

The costume is such a big deal. This year Jonathan dressed up as an x-wing fighter (you know...Star Wars). Steve was pretty excited about the costume that he had his own version of dressing up. Check out the pics.

Disneyland 2008

Well, this year we did D-land for 3 days. Yikes. I know. We just can't help ourselves. When it comes to Disneyland we are fanatical.
Halloween at Disneyland is the best and it is extra special because it is Jonathan's birthday.
We were there 10/29, 10/30, and 10/31.

To start off our adventure Steve was so awesome to book a hotel room at the Disneyland Hotel. I had never stayed there before and was pretty excited.

The Reno's came down for 10/29 & 10/30. Jonathan got to hang out with his cousins: Lauren, Thomas & Nathan.
